love this concept! have to admit I have yet to try i out myself but I feel I will be very very soon. One question though, is it possible to use photographs or footage from another camera for the parallax?

Yes of course, and there are many ways in various software... For example just take a look at the Indirect solving in SynthEyes manual.

I didn't notice the waffling others are complaining about, I am getting an impatient teenager vibe from rajhlinux b's comments. If you pay attention and take the proper attitude you'd probably get a lot farther. Read the guy's name, he clearly isn't American, so I don't know where you're getting with the English comments. Most of the best VFX tutorials are from people with strong accents, but his English was fine. Have you ever seen Rtep's reel? The guy's a pro, and if you've learned nothing from this tutorial just move on to another field.

Look up indirect solving elsewhere.
- This dudes favorite phrase is I´m not gonna waste your time but that is all he does all the time.
